Tub deck behind a very large shower pan, set to be enclosed by one of those expensive glass doors.

I can only assume that it’s filled with pee and scrap drywall.

Nah, these guys run a pretty good operation.

im 7/8th there in my basement. There is a shower pan without the raised sides and a drain and a tub. I’ve been thinking about converting it to this style...but its in the basement and its rarely used so I probably wont .

This reminds me somewhat of my bathroom, only the glass doors in mine, which were of the non-fancy sliding type and not the fancy magic hinge type, were replaced a few years ago by a good old-fashioned curtain.

i don’t hate it, but must be a pain in the ass to keep clean.

But think about it: if it’s rarely used, then it could be yours.

oddly this is the first bathtub he posted that was not.

My cousin’s apartment uses similar space-saving techniques:
A combination sink/showerhead:
A drain built into the floor:
And a place to sit while you clean yourself (or poop, your choice):
In case you are wondering, he just moved to South Korea. All stills pulled from the video he posted giving the tour of his rather tiny apartment. I think most of it would fit in that bathroom, Dr. Z.

Huh. That’s an interesting idea. I need to let that roll around in my head a bit.

Hooray!
In Washington state old Toyota parts are in high demand, right? Has anyone tried to steal the Longbed? Or would that warrant it’s own post?

THIS IS DOPE! Im going to do this in my bathroom now.

I like that the shower is separate from the tub. But it’s still kinda weird. Like...why?! What’s the benefit here?

Uhh, why do you ask?

To look good and impress people.

For some reason it reminds me of the Honda CRX my dad used to own, which got broken into quite frequently

Just redid the kitchen in tile. Living room wall and all the floors of the house as well. Restrooms are next in the same way

I think about it getting stolen quite often.

I enjoy these posts a lot. If I hit it rich I would buy tons of cars and become a contractor for luxury homes.

I like having a tub separate from the shower. Partially because I just don’t like bathtubs, but also because bathtubs are damn slippery.
Aside from that, the strangeness here is enclosing both the tub and shower behind a shower door. I think it maximizes usage of that bathroom’s space (which looks pretty narrow) while still permitting a large tub and shower.

Where do you keep your plates and classes and shelves of mis-matched tupperware? You have no wall cabinets.
![]() 09/27/2016 at 18:41 |

This looks like the new floor plan “master en suite” bathrooms in the trendy areas of Nashville. Very narrow space for a bathroom but it has to have a full tub and shower to justify the 49-52% profit margin GCs are getting here.

Side work with your pops or is this your place? Going light or dark with your cabinets?
![]() 09/27/2016 at 19:11 |

I think that picture he still needs to add the cabinets.
![]() 09/27/2016 at 19:23 |

Then why tile the entire wall? I am confused
![]() 09/27/2016 at 19:50 |

Hmmm, good point. Unless the back of the shelving will be open to the tiles?

Yeah, I suppose if they needed to to fit it all together, it’s just weird that they’re both enclosed.

It’s a weird thing to say, but South Korean bathrooms are great. It’s all just one large wet-room with a drain in the middle, so you can use the tub, or you can just stand in the middle of the bathroom and get everything wet. Only issue is when you need to go for a late-night pee, you’re still groggy, and you step onto a cold, wet floor. Or if you step into the bathroom thinking it’s dry and you get your socks all wet.

I wish more U.S. bathrooms were designed to get wet. It would be nice to be able to clean them out with a hose. Many public bathrooms are designed to get hosed down, but I can’t say I’ve ever seen one being cleaned that way even if it really needed it. Some of them would benefit from a good power wash.

This is my home. Been saving up painfully all year to do a total interior overhaul. Just dropped my last penny today for another 10 sheet of hardy cement boards, lighting fixtures, grout, and the last bits of random materials to finish the kitchen and restrooms.
I’m doing to cabinets in a light stain natural look with a semi gloss. All built from scratch. Just finished the pantry since I didn’t have one.
The cars are sitting outside because this is the garage at the moment lol
Mexican Muscle, yo! lol :]

There used to be two gross and tall ass windows here. Covered them up, added just one new smaller window and built a pantry. I finally have a pantry! In that empty space above the kitchen counter is going to be some rad lighting that kind of hangs down. Also, frame thingy for glass cups

You need to come help me build some built in bookshelves in my living room, redo my closets, and redo my laundry room shelving

My wife wanted to do this with a Japanese soaking tub (our available width is 44.5")
Instead we’re going with a 6' deep shower. It’s got two independent shower controls and a rainfall head on a diverter

You have chosen wisely. I want to replace our tub (54 wide) with a 3' pan and a 18" tiled bench. But we have a 1 bath house so we don’t know if that will affect our resale value. A young family might want an actual tub.
